Ali was born July 28, 1984 in Dumfries, Virginia. She grew up playing for a club soccer team coached by her dad, Ken Krieger. Ali then went on to play for the Penn State Nittany Lions, and was asked after her collegiate career to play for the USWNT. Now living in Germany, Ali is a right back for both the U.S. and for the 1. FFC Frankfurt team.
Ali loves traveling, playing soccer, and having afternoon coffee with friends. She is a huge Washington Redskin fan, and is a proud alumina of the Penn State Nittany Lions. Krieger loves mexican food, the color fuscia and is a very big fan of attending various sporting events.
Ali Krieger is my hero! She's my favorite soccer player, and a great, determined role model for myself. I not only love her for her style of play on the field, but because of the determination, optimism, leadership, and strength she always represents.
